2017 Highlights for SEATC!

A busy 2017 has come to an end and 2018 promises to be an even brighter year in which SEATC will continue its mission to make social enterprise not only a more widely understood and accepted term but also shaping a movement that brings us closer to a shared vision of greater effectiveness and sustainable social impact in our communities.

We appreciate your involvement and engagement in this movement in 2017 and are committed to facilitating more inclusive conversation, providing educational support and sharing our network and resources to broaden the social enterprise ecosystem in our region.

Our top moments of 2017

 

Welcomed many new faces, as well as renewing members to the board.

Participated in the SEA National Summit in Los Angeles.

Conducted the Women’s Empowerment and Social Enterprise Event in March, contributing to a global research initiative. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the British Council and providing more opportunities to empower women in the Twin Cities and beyond.

 

 

 

Sponsored Werk It – a one-of-a-kind runway style event showcasing entrepreneurs and social enterprise leaders at The Muse in April.

Brought on Ashleyn Przedwiecki to join the SEATC team, to lead various projects throughout the year.

Held the Summer Social where we highlighted local women in Social Enterprise, including Jasmine Russel of Monicat Data, all of whom are taking the lead in innovation.

 

 

 

Joined Impact Hub MSP in hosting a series of programs and workshops during Twin Cities Startup Week – bringing visibility of social enterprise to the larger startup community. Read the recap and social impact spotlights >>

Collaborated with Impact Hub MSP on a vibrant makers market event that showcased over 20 local, socially-conscious brands, businesses, and makers to celebrate the holiday season.

The tremendous feedback from the vendors, the shoppers and members of the community was a testament to the high energy around the social enterprise movement in our region. 

2017 was a year of growth for us, and we look forward to delivering more events and programs, as well as bridge connections to the greater social enterprise movement. As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas. We look forward to a year of growth and momentum for the Social Enterprise community!
