“Each year in honor of National Volunteer Week, MAP recognizes two or more exemplary board members with Board Star Awards. The awards are presented to board members who were placed through MAP’s Best on Board® program and who deserve special recognition for the outstanding role they have played with their organizations.

The 2011 Board Star Award recipients are Thompson Aderinkomi, who serves on the WATCH board of directors and Mary Serie, who serves on the Phyllis Wheatley  Community Center (PWCC) board.
